 Beth Partain Forester is owner and operator of Forester Photography, a studio in the small town of Madison, West Virginia. She is a graduate of Centre College of Kentucky and is currently serving as a board member for the Professional Photographers of West Virginia. She is also a member of the Professional Photographers of America where she holds the degree of Master of Photography.Beth's interest in photography began soon after her daughter, Katherine, was born. In 1995 she turned her hobby into a business and opened a studio in her hometown. Beth's studio specializes in creating digitally enhanced portraits. She is always striving to create something unique and original for each of her clients. She states, "I love the control I have over the final look of the portrait. The ability to put that little something extra into each image is a very rewarding experience." Beth has twice been named Mid-East States Photographer of the Year in 2006 and in 2007. She is also three-time recipient of the West Virginia Photographer of the Year Award, in 2004, 2006 and 2007. On the way to achieving these titles, Beth has earned 10 Kodak Gallery Awards, 4 Fuji Masterpiece Awards and 2 Gold and 1 Platinum Level National Photographer of the Year Awards. She also currently has 9 images accepted into the coveted Professional Photographers of America Loan Collection. Only about 400 images are chosen each year from entries received by photographers from all over the United States and abroad. These award-winning images, along with numerous others, can be viewed by clicking here.  We are sad to announce that in November of 2006 Missie, our trusted friend and companion, passed away. She lived a very happy life and was eager to go to work in the studio everyday. She will be greatly missed by all. In September 2003 Beth welcomed her newest helper when "Evie," a Shih-Tzu puppy, joined the staff. A birthday gift to Beth's daughter Katherine, "Evie" enjoys her daily trips to the studio and delights everyone with her playful antics. |
